Hi there,
First and foremost, we hope you and your loved ones made it through Sandy unscathed. Obviously, much of the city did not. As we await updates from the city on restored power to many of our neighborhoods and MTA service in all five boroughs, we’re reluctantly cancelling our Flavorpill GEL launch / Halloween party at Le Bain scheduled for Wednesday, October 31.
If you’re able to aid in the city’s recovery process, here are a few ways to help:
Volunteer for The Lower East Side Recovers
Donate blood
Sign up to volunteer at NYC Public Advocate’s Office
Donate to or volunteer for the Red Cross
Craig Newmark of craigslist is matching donations to the Red Cross to $25K
United Airlines is matching donations to the Red Cross up to $50K
