The German foundation EXIT made it their goal to help extreme right-wingers leave the violent and racist Neo-Nazi-scene.
They came up with an awesome marketing idea to gain the attention of their potential target audience.
At a festival sponsored by the far right German nationalist party NPD, they gave away free t-shirts printed with known Nazi symbols. The text reads “Hardcore Rebels - National and Free”.They soon ran out of stock, but what the shirt-owners didn’t expect was their new favorite item of clothing turned out to be a Trojan horse! After washing it for the first time, the print faded and revealed a new design:
“Your shirt can do it and so can you! - We help you to free yourself from right-wing extremism” in combination with the EXIT logo and their contact information.
Hands down, great idea!!! -

“Despite all this, I looked for ways to feel human. I have always loved animals. I started hiding a piece of bread from my meals and feeding the iguanas that came to the fence. When officials discovered this, I was punished with 30 days in isolation and darkness.”

“It is Super Tuesday. It is like the Super Bowl of politics — if the Super Bowl was one team slowly destroying itself. And just like the Super Bowl, I have painted my face with the team colors — white.”

An entry into the Blown Covers weekly cover contest, themed “The Gays,” by writer and illustrator Ella German. The cover addresses the recent historic moment for marriage equality, also referencing Maurice Sendak, who had passed away the previous week. Though far from a gay rights activist, Sendak lived as an openly gay man with his partner of half a century. The two never had the opportunity to marry.
