Darwin Deez Studies Abroad
New Yorker Darwin Deez, a musician who makes quirky, catchy indie pop, will be the cool new thing a few months from now. Below is the first of a series of posts by him we’ll be sharing with you; read it and secure your bragging rights for when he blows up. This time, we’ve got Darwin’s description and photos of his band’s recent adventures in Europe. Enjoy!

After a 4 and 1/2 month absence, Darwin Deez has returned to New York City. The band was studying abroad.
Our teachers were five magical/polite school boys from Newcastle.
Greg learned advanced venue sanitation practices
We studied dietary health risks at this Nottingham fryup.
Darwin discovered his animal spirit in these adorable yak teddy bear hybrids of the Yorkshire Dales.
We took a communications course from the BBC.
Cole completed his ethnological research in London, learning the customs and culture of the natives.
Andrew took a modeling class from some graffiti in Belgium.
We are holding a seminar to pass on this valuable and timeless wisdom to the United States. To be schooled, please attend the Mercury Lounge (217 E. Houston St.) on Wednesday evening, November 17th.
